Experiment
An experiment, or trial, is a repeatable procedure that results in one outcome out of a set of possible outcomes (a sample space). If an experiment has more than \(1\) outcome in its sample space, it's random. Otherwise, it's deterministic.
For example, the act of flipping a coin is a random experiment.
